Error Reporting
Windows has a service called WER (Windows Error Reporting)
this service connects Microsoft every time a program
terminates Prematurely.
This can be
annoying at times and even a problem that keeps getting
in your way! Do NOT DESPAIR! the fix is
simple.. All you have to do is turn off that
service. There are several ways to turn it off but
today we are going to tell you about a way that
eliminates it from starting when you turn on the
computer by using Services
- First go to the start menu select My Computer then
Manage
- Then Select services
- Right Click on the Windows Error Report and Select
properties
- Use the dropdown and select Manual

| Once you Click
manual and OK The service will be stopped and changed
from Automatic, Which starts every time you restart the
computer, to Manual which means that you will have to
restart this service if you want it to continue running.
By default this service is set to Automatic and
Reports every time a program terminates prematurely by
turning off the error report you have NOT really fixed
the problem you have just stopped the reporting of that
error.
This service is NOT a necessary service and will have
no side effects from stopping it.
