Record ANY Music that you can play on your PC At
first glance that title may be confusing but, that's exactly
what can be done with a free download called Audacity.
It's pretty simple to use especially for recording but I have
found that there are a couple of rules that help make it an
exciting experience. I recorded several songs and a
couple of things are Apparent. First you must test and
control the recording sound levels. I am sure that you
are aware of TV shows that have the sound jumping up at the
commercial breaks and how annoying that can be. If you
practice a little you will get the hang of what level to
record at though.
The recording level (in Red) should start some where in the
middle to start but some songs are already set low so you may
have to increase the volume right at the start. The speaker
volume is not that important at this point as that only
affects the playback. The highlighted dropdown that says
Stereo Mix should be selected.
Press
record and then press start on the original copy that you are
recording and then set back and wait for the original to
finish. After it's done you can trim up the and remove
the lead-in and also any skips that you find, say from a bad
internet connection.
