Static
A Static site is like a newspaper you print a page and it
doesn't change till you do another page. This is the
original basic web site all the pages are created and uploaded
to the Web Host and when changes are needed you make the
changes and re upload to Host. Example of Static
Web Site
Dynamic
A Dynamic site can be a mix of both Static and Dynamic.
But in the simplest terms a dynamic site is one that gets
information from some where else and displays it on the page
like from a database or xml file. EXAMPLE: A database of Items
you are selling on your site could be set up to get a list of
the items for sale determined by something the user clicks on
like a tab or link or picture an example of a Dynamic site is Monoprice
When you click on the 'cables' tab a list of items shows up
that are in the database and the page is auto generated for
you. This requires some behind the scenes coding and is
why they cost a little more. Most sites with a only a
few items on there web Site don't need to bother with Dynamic,
but if you have hundreds or thousands of items (Like
Monoprice) then there is no other way except to have a dynamic
site.
We are specialists in dynamic sites that require databases
like the one we did for Epic
Motor Sports the portion of the site also has a cart or
shopping portion that is dynamic as well. Shopping carts
can be added to both Static and Dynamic sites
